This short Ableton tutorial walks through how to bring a personal sample folder into Live and turn it into a reusable Drum Rack preset. The workflow starts in the browser's Places section, where the Add Folder option lets you reference any folder on your hard drive or external drive directly inside Live.
Once the folder appears in Places, its samples are immediately available to drag into devices like Drum Rack. After building out a custom kit, saving it via the Drum Rack's Save icon sends it straight to the User Library, where you can rename and store it as a named preset for future sessions.
