Alex Reid walks through how to replicate track templates in Bitwig Studio using the Chain container, a workaround for a feature Bitwig doesn't offer natively. By building a device chain with any combination of plugins, saving it as a preset, and loading it whenever needed, you get the same quick-start functionality other DAWs provide out of the box.
He also extends this idea to multi-track setups. By saving an entire group with multiple tracks as a separate project (his SSD drum template is the example), you can copy and paste the whole thing into any session. Bitwig's behavior of loading new projects with the audio engine off means the pasted group won't consume CPU until you actually need it.
The last part covers organizing presets using Bitwig's Favorites and Collections system in the browser. Right-clicking any preset adds it to Favorites, and you can build as many named collections as you want, grouping presets by workflow context like mixing or sound design, so the tools you reach for most are always one click away.
