Cleaning up chords in Logic: even velocity and tighter timing

MusicTechHelpGuy records a simple chord progression in Logic Pro, then opens the piano roll to clean it up.

Logic color codes notes by velocity, blue and purple for quiet hits, red and orange for louder ones. The velocity slider adjusts each note individually, and option-dragging it snaps every note to the same value for a more even, consistent feel.

Hand-played chords also drift off the grid, since musicians tend to rush ahead of the beat. Selecting the region and pressing Q quantizes everything to the nearest 16th note, tightening the performance without a single re-take.
