This Ableton tutorial covers two practical ways to shape your Session View workflow: trimming the interface down to what you actually need, and using the crossfader to blend between groups of tracks.
The right-side panel lets you toggle off ins and outs, sends and returns, the mixer, track delay, and CPU metering, leaving only what matters for the moment. Hiding these sections keeps the view focused when you're performing or sketching ideas live.
The crossfader assigns tracks to either an A or B bank, so you can drag between two groups in real time. In the example, drums and bass go to A, chords and lead to B, and dragging the crossfader fades the energy between those two layers.
