This Ableton tip covers a quick alternative to real-time recording for getting Session view clips into your Arrangement. Select one or more clips, click and hold, then press Tab to switch views while keeping the clips attached to your cursor, ready to place anywhere on the timeline.
If a clip has looping enabled, you can also drag it out to fill whatever length you need, which saves you from manually duplicating or editing after the fact.
