Ableton's Learn Live series closes out its MIDI Generators overview by showing how Max for Live patches can be slotted directly into the Generators tab as custom generators. The example used is a Euclidean rhythm generator, which distributes a set number of hits as evenly as possible across a given number of steps.
This means the built-in generator options are just a starting point. Any compatible M4L patch can extend the menu, making the generator workflow as open-ended as the broader Max for Live ecosystem.
