Tokøta from Mastering.com walks through the very first step in Logic Pro: creating a new project. Go to File, New (or New from Template) to get started.
Templates like hip hop, electronic, songwriter, orchestral, and multitrack come preloaded with instruments, effects, and sometimes loops, so you skip the blank-page setup. Choosing Empty Project instead gives you a clean slate with no assumptions about genre or workflow.
From there you pick your first track type: software instrument for MIDI-based sounds, external MIDI, Drummer for Logic's built-in percussion generator, or audio if you're recording vocals, guitar, or bass. An empty channel strip leaves the instrument choice for later.
This is a quick, practical starting point before diving into Logic's interface in more depth.
