Tokøta from Mastering.com dives into Sculpture's secondary objects, the material that surrounds and modulates each string object rather than acting as a sound source itself.
Disturb, bouncing, bound, mass, and damp each create a distinct interaction. Bouncing produces a rolling, flamming drum-roll effect, bound sounds like an object stopping the string's ringing range, mass simulates a weight pulling on your picking hand for pitch drift, and damp simply dampens the tone.
Blending these together, and adjusting their balance on the slider, opens up a huge range of hybrid textures beyond what any single object can produce.
Timing matters just as much as the object type. Key On triggers the effect the moment you press a note, Key Off triggers it on release, and Always keeps it constantly active, so the same object type can sound completely different depending on when it fires.
