Inside the Multi-Sampler's mod matrix, he routes an LFO to volume with the sample set to mono and phase flipped to 180 degrees, creating a pumping auto-pan effect on the 808.
Assigning the mod wheel to shape that LFO in real time turns a static one-shot sample into something playable and expressive, not just a fixed tone.
Once the sound is dialed in, saving it with audio data into a dedicated folder means the exact patch, filtering, and modulation setup can be recalled instantly for future tracks.
