Two quick fixes to reduce CPU load in Ableton

This Ableton tip covers two small but useful housekeeping steps for keeping CPU load in check. In Live's Preferences under the Audio tab, disabling unused inputs and outputs on your audio interface reduces unnecessary processing overhead.

For plugins, stick to one format per device across a set. Mixing VST, VST3, and AU versions of the same plugin can create conflicts and extra load, so pick one format and use it consistently.
